Takamine G Series GS330S Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Natural Reviews
8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Excellent sound and feel, By This review is from: Takamine G Series GS330S Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Natural (Electronics) I bought this guitar for my wife last Christmas. It's priced a little higher than the low-end guitars, but the sound and feel of it really justify the price.I myself play the guitar and have some experience with the feel and sound of a guitar. This particular one is really smooth, easy on the fingers, and the sound is excellent. As far as tuning the guitar, it definitely tunes very well and very easily. I highly recommend this guitar - the price may be a little steep, but if you see it on sale anywhere, go for it. 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful An excellent guitar., By Duane Allman (Oregon, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Takamine G Series GS330S Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Natural (Electronics) The fully acoustic (not acoustic electric) members of Takamine G-series are, for the most part a medicore group of guitars, but the GS330S stands out. The wood is of a very high quality, the finish is very nice too, allowing you to run your hands accross it and actually feel the texture of the wood. The sound is superb, however it has very little bass, but thats not very important anyway. For vocals, its quite good, because of the lack of bass it complements someones voice very well. My only complaint would be that it does not come with a pickguard, which is no problem, they sell for around five bucks anywhere. Also the top wood is particularly soft, and dents pretty easly, but if your carefull and get a good case (I bought a better one than what they threw in for free) then thats no problem. So, if your looking for a straight acoustic guitar, under five hundred, I would stronly recomend the takamine GS330S. 9 of 10 people found the following review helpful The Takamine sound, By This review is from: Takamine G Series GS330S Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar, Natural (Electronics) This is a great intermediate guitar built for gentle music...it has a very mellow voice, the overtones are clear, mid-range, and it is greatly softened by the minimally treated spruce body with a very slight curvature to the back. I bought mine 3 years ago retail ($329 + 9%) at a Guitar Center in Louisiana.I recommend this guitar for jazz players and soft-voiced singers. |
